I just purchased Karaoke Anywhere for my two sons iPod touches. I wanted to download songs directly to the ipods but there is a problem. "It says you can't purchase this. You mush purchase the app that the item is for." I think I know why this is happening but do not know what to do, their iPods are set up with an account (email) different from my actual account at apple. The reason for this is they need a separate email address to use face time on the iPod. When I make a purchase on iTunes or update their apps on the iPod it goes through my email (apple account). This also prevents them from buying stuff without my permission. I think that Karaoke Anywhere on their ipod is not recognizing that the app was purchased because of the email address
I downloaded songs directly to the computer http://www.tricerasoft.com then uploaded them to Karaoke Anywhere. I followed the instructions in Karaoke Anywhere and, added the songs as it said to do in ITunes. They do not show in the Karaoke Anywhere on the iPod, I looked in all the areas. Again I still think this has to do with the problem I stated above. There needs to be a way to solve this. Help please! Thank you.

This is a very interesting situation. Are you doing the purchasing with your account or with the individual email account on each iPod? What probably happened is that the application itself was purchased using your account, while the in-app purchase was purchased using theirs.
Please let me know the situation in terms of which email address has purchased the actual application. It's a free download, so it wouldn't hurt to download it using your iTunes account, as well as the individual email accounts they have setup on the iPods.
That said, you can link all three devices together using JoltSoft Connect and share a common credit pool. You could then purchase credits, and your kids can download whichever songs they'd like without being able to purchase credits. You can also re-download a purchased song on any of your devices. In order to do this, click on "JoltSoft Connect", register with an email, and then login on the other two devices using the same credentials. It will automatically link the devices and you wont have to login on them again once they are linked up.
The app was purchased in my account through iTunes. Then when each of the iPods are connected to the computer I can put the app on both iPods. This is because the iPods are both registered to me. The only difference is that each iPod has its own email address so they can use facetime. I cannot use the iPods themselves to download the songs through Karaoke Anywhere, because the app does not recognize that the app is already purchased. Where is JoltSoft Connect? In Karaoke anywhere? Or is it another app I have to download for the iPods or my computer? Is there JoltSoft connect for the computer that I can link the two iPods and The computer? I tried the JoltSoft Connect in the Karaoke Anywhere. When I press it there is a screen that says Welcome to JoltSoft Connect. You can now sync your subscription and purchased tracks across multiple devices, but it is greyed out. I don't know what to do after. As I said the app will not let me purchase anything via the iPod, so how do I get a subscription? I already bought songs through Tricerasoft. Before I did I emailed JoltSoft, JoltSoft support said in an email.
"The songs purchased from tricerasoft.com will certainly work with Karaoke Anywhere, since they are the proper MP3+G format.
In terms of transferring them to the iPods, the "Import/Export" page in the "My Library" section of the app has basic instructions on how to access Karaoke Anywhere via iTunes File Sharing. Once you've hooked your iPod to the computer and accessed the proper area in iTunes, it's as simple as adding the files from your computer to the app!"
So what are my options now. I have an app on an iPod, I have songs and I can't get the two together. Let me know. Thanks
I finally found the JoltSoft connect online but it is pretty much useless because it does not let you do anything. Under the connected devices it shows both devices, but that is it. It does not help me solve the problem I am having. If it truly was a way to connect all the devices then it should allow me to upload the already purchased songs I bought from Tricerasoft to each of the devices. In addition, JoltSoft connect online should let you purchase the subscription online or songs that then would upload to the iPods. I chose karaoke Anywhere because it was highly rated, but now I am not sure why. I hope the problem is soon solved.
JoltSoft Connect does sync your purchases across devices as well as share subscription and credit pools. For example, if you purchased a song on your device as well as a subscription, the subscription would be active on your two iPods, and your purchased song would be downloadable (free of charge) via the Account / View Purchased Tracks page inside of the application. In addition, if you were to buy a 10 credit pack on your device, those 10 credits would be available on your iPods as well (if they are linked via JoltSoft Connect).
As far as synchronizing purchases you make elsewhere, we are unable to do that at this time. If you want to add songs to Karaoke Anywhere via iTunes (for example, the ones you purchased from Tricerasoft) you would need to connect each device and transfer the songs you want. Please keep in mind, that when you add songs to your device via iTunes, they will not sync automatically when connecting your iPods. You will have to explicitly copy the files from your computer on to each device you'd like.
The easiest route is to purchase songs from within the application and download the ones you want on your other devices using the View Purchased Tracks method I described above.
As I wrote in the beginning SEE MY FIRST COMMENT. I cannot buy a subscription, even if I want to!! The iPods say "You can't purchase this. You mush purchase the app that the item is for." I think I know why this is happening but do not know what to do, their iPods are set up with an account (email) different from my actual account at apple. The reason for this is they need a separate email address to use face time on the iPod. Therefore I do not know what to do!! All I have are those 2 iPods and a computer! So I understand what you are saying, but obviously you don't understand what I have said/ I guess I need to find another app.
Unfortunately this is a limitation imposed on you by Apple, not our application.
The only way you can purchase an in-app purchase is from within an app you have purchased with whatever store account you are logged in with. If you purchased Karaoke Anywhere with YOUR account, then you will need to be logged into your account on the device in order to make the purchase. Alternatively, you get delete the application from the iPod and re-download it using whatever account the device is currently logged in as and then proceed with the purchase.
You can see which account is logged in by going to Settings, clicking "Store", and then noting which account is currently logged in. Regardless of how you choose to do it, you need have purchased / downloaded the application with the same store account you are attempting to purchase credits/subscriptions with.
What you are trying to do is possible, you just need to make sure you are using the correct accounts.
Said another way:
In-app purchases (IAP) can't be purchased by an account that didn't purchase the app. If a different iTunes account was used to buy the app, you must switch back to that account to purchase IAP items.
As part of iCloud, iTunes in the Cloud takes what you buy on iTunes on one device and pushes it to all your other devices, wirelessly and without syncing. And with iTunes Match, even the songs you’ve imported from CDs are stored in iCloud — so you can access them on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV, Mac, or PC.
What I would like to know is how to import from mi iPad to my iMac (computer) all the tracks that I bought. I tried the instructions you put it in the app: use the file sharing and use the add/save to buttons but then I cannot find the tracks in my iTunes. Any idea?
